Project Overview
This project adopts the VEICHI CNC V800MA complete package solution for application on the UT-430 vertical trunnion five-axis machining center. The solution uses EtherCAT bus communication to realize coordinated servo control of XYZAC five axes. Based on the customer’s machine structure and machining requirements, system configuration, parameter optimization, spindle commissioning, and on-site function adaptation were completed, helping the equipment achieve stable production operation.
Project Features


According to the application characteristics of the UT-430 vertical trunnion five-axis machining center, the V800MA complete package solution fully leverages the advantages of bus communication, high-response control, and flexible configuration to provide reliable support for stable equipment operation. The solution features include:
- EtherCAT bus communication, enabling high-speed and stable data exchange among all axes and improving multi-axis coordinated control performance;
- five-axis linkage control, supporting coordinated XYZAC five-axis motion to meet the requirements of complex curved surface and multi-angle machining;
- open and flexible system configuration, facilitating on-site parameter adjustment and function expansion, and enabling adaptation to different machine structures;
- integrated advantages of the complete package solution, with coordinated matching of the system, drives, and servos to improve overall machine commissioning efficiency and operating stability.
Commissioning Implementation


On site, system wiring guidance, EtherCAT communication configuration, feed axis and spindle commissioning were completed. Based on the structural characteristics of the machine, five-axis motion control parameters were optimized. At the same time, related functions were adapted according to on-site machining requirements to ensure stable equipment operation. For the trunnion-type five-axis structure and DD direct-drive rotary table, targeted optimization was carried out for the A/C axis control parameters, improving the stability and response performance of five-axis linkage operation. In addition, according to the customer’s machining requirements, the spindle control method and machining program were adapted and adjusted, providing reliable support for subsequent trial machining.
Commissioning Results


After the overall equipment commissioning was completed, each linkage axis was tested and verified. The system was able to stably complete multi-axis linkage control and meet the machining requirements of the five-axis machining center. Trial machining verification was also completed. The equipment operated smoothly, all axes moved in coordination, and the machining results met expectations, providing reliable assurance for the equipment’s official production operation.
